Wedding postponements email

First of all, apologies for sending out one email to everyone! I’m emailing all my wedding couples because as you can imagine, my calendar is getting complicated! I have a lot of couples moving their wedding and holding new dates, and I want to make 100% sure I have accurate records so I can sleep soundly knowing I won’t miss or double book your wedding date!

Even if we have recently spoken, could you please reply to this email to let me know your definite wedding date, please? If you’re in the process of changing your date, please confirm if the old date is still valid or if it’s definitely cancelled, and remind me of the new date, and the status of your date/s.

For couples who are planning to split their wedding over two dates, the deposit paid will be applicable to the later date, and the sooner date will require separate payment for those hours, due on the 1st of the month before the month of the wedding (this can be taken out of any balance paid off, but not taken out of the deposit – that goes towards the future date). This is because I am holding two dates, and if the future date is cancelled, I’ll have turned down work on that date and lost work (after a year of no income I need to protect my business so it’s still there when your wedding happens!). I hope this makes sense! Please ask me anything if it isn’t clear.

Also, I offered one free postponement to all 2020 weddings, but any ongoing postponements will incur a fee, as I’m turning down work on multiple dates now. However… if you choose to move your wedding to a non-peak date of Mon-Thurs, I won’t charge any fees. Yay for weekday weddings!

Please confirm your date/s with me so I can tally it on my calendar! If you haven’t confirmed any date changes yet, please let me know before you do so I can make sure I’m available – I don’t want to miss out on your wedding!
