How
To create your wedding blog post, choose options from the drop down menus, or add your own text to personalize further – every option has the ability to add your own. The dropdowns are not exhaustive – they’re intended as inspiration to get your brain juices flowing.
When you’re done, click the “show me my blog post” button. You can change the options in the generator and keep pressing the button to update, and you are able to refresh or close your browser without losing your inputs as long as you don’t clear cookies.
Your blog post can either be kept exactly as it is, or it can be a starting point so you’re not staring at a blank page. You can reuse the blog generator for all your wedding blog posts.
Your couple
Before you begin, ask your couples: Where were your outfits from? Who were your other suppliers (to add to the end of your post)? What was your favorite part of your wedding and why? What made you choose your venue? What was the idea behind the styling/theme? What advice do they have for other couples? This will help you fill out the generator.
SEO
Choose a keyword, for example the venue name or the theme or type of wedding, such as ‘Festival’. Use this keyword as the FIRST word in your title, and at least once in the post intro paragraph. Make sure your url includes it too, when you come to add this to a post. Make sure the keyword appears around 3 or 4 times throughout the post.
When you add your images, don’t forget to alt text them, using your main keyword a few times.
I have added h1, h2 and h3 headings for you, in all the right places, which will help Google like you.
I have added supplier links, which Google loves. Don’t forget to set these to open in a new tab and it’s a great idea to let the suppliers know about the link so you can build a relationship.
What are the tick boxes for?
Of course you may not want to include everything in this template, so if there’s anything you don’t want to include just miss it out – you can do this by unticking the section or editing it out of the final text when you press “show me my blog post”.
